Maya Blitch, M.A., is a doctoral student in the Department of Communication Studies. She is a recipient of the 2025 TIPI fellowship. As an Interpersonal scholar, her research interest explores how families navigate various crises or stressors (e.g., natural disasters, neurological disorders).

The anticipated work through TIPI will be sent to various journals and conferences that focus on communication, crisis, organizing, and families.
She is a co-author on a piece published in Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking that focuses on cyberbullying and depression. Maya earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication at Louisiana State University and her Master’s degree in Communication Studies at Texas State University.
