Emelia Edwards

Emilia Edwards is a Ph.D. student in Journalism and Media at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research explores how AI technologies are reshaping communication practices, with a particular focus on visual media.

As a TIPI Research Fellow, she is leading a project that examines the impact of generative AI on photojournalistic identity through a case study of Adobe. Emilia brings over a decade of experience in journalism in both the U.S. and Chile.
